January–March 2026 Whirling Dervish Performances

Whirling Dervish Performances will be held in Istanbul’s enchanting atmosphere during January–March 2026. This unique ritual, rooted in the depths of the Mevlevi tradition, offers an experience that calms the spirit and invites the heart to peace through the whirling of the semazen.

Between the tranquillity of winter and the freshness of spring, the performances held during this period will offer an unforgettable experience for both local and international visitors.

Historical Depth: The Mevlevi tradition, which has continued for centuries, offers viewers not just a show, but also an inner journey. You can watch the show in a historic building or witness the dervishes’ dance in their sanctuary.

Mystical Music: Accompanied by the melancholic sound of the ney and the rhythm of the kudüm, the whirling dervishes transport the audience beyond time.

Transformed from a large 15th-century hamam (Turkish bath), the building now welcomes visitors under its high dome ceilings to showcase some of the best of this vast country’s traditions since 2008.
